Beginner Silversmithing Classes

Learn traditional silversmithing in a small, hands-on class at Silver of Oz in Elkhorn. No previous experience is required. You will use professional jewelry tools and techniques to create finished sterling silver pieces you can wear and enjoy.

What You Will Learn and Make

Designed for students with no prior silversmithing experience. You will complete two finished pieces of jewelry: a hand-sawn copper pendant and a sterling silver bezel-set stone ring.

The pendant project teaches sawing, filing, sanding, and polishing. You will then learn soldering, measuring, bezel construction, ring sizing, and stone setting while creating your sterling silver ring. Tools and materials are included.

After completing the Beginner class, you will have the foundational skills needed to continue into more advanced silversmithing classes.
